I spent years longing to connect with others in deep meaningful ways but too often I was stuck in cycles of shame, not prioritizing my own self-care. I lived in silence, feeling invisible. It wasn’t until I risked being vulnerable and sharing what I was living with, that I found a community of peers with similar lived experiences where I could heal authentically. I believe having safe spaces to talk about our mental health and wellness is essential to recovering our lives. Self-Care for Mental Health is a safe space where you will hear from a community of peers who understand what it is like to live with mental health challenges, and who daily inspire hope that mental health and wellness recovery is possible for everyone. Do you realize how much beauty is inside you?
Right now in this moment no matter where you are or how you are feeling today, there is a wealth of wellness inside of you even if you don’t feel like it in this moment.
For years after being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, it felt like any semblance of mental wellness was out of reach for me. I was so focused on the illness and the clinical side of treatment that I hadn’t even stopped to consider that I could still experience wellness even while having an illness.
In today’s episode, I am sharing from my own lived experience of going from being very shutdown focused on an illness that I didn’t want, to uncovering more and more wellness as I began sharing what I was living with in community with others and began to experience a sense of thriving in my life that I never thought possible.

Because this is a Safe Space, in today’s episode I am sharing an honest confession of allowing non-essentials to creep in and create imbalance in my mental health and wellness. 🙃

Hi friends and welcome to Living Table!
It is really good to have you here.
Today's episode is very in real life, in real time as I share from my heart while I am standing on the beach. I was on vacation with my family this past week and away from the studio so I needed to be ok recording from where I was. It can still feel scary for me to allow myself to be seen in this way, but I know that is what Living Table community is all about.
The ocean continues to be one of my best teachers on how to create safe spaces to be myself. I feel more free when I am at the beach. I feel more at peace with myself. I feel more alive and awake to my true self. So I thought what better place to record than with my feet standing on the shore.
I hope something in this episode makes you feel SEEN, KNOWN, & LOVED right where your feet are standing today. And I hope you enjoy the sound of the ocean waves in the background. 🌊 🐚 ☀️
